Our next single, “The Breaks,” is coming tomorrow on Voted Best Records! This song features all three members of Vampirates on vocals. Lyrically the song addresses some of the more difficult times on tour but always being sure to keep your head up. “Everything is fine, I promise everything is really fine.”

The third of our monthly singles, “Cancel Culture,” is out now! “Cancel Culture” is a punk manifesto challenging societal decay. The 20-year-old band shouts, “Come for the culture, stay for the profits.” Lyrics dissect the commodification of memories, where khakis and clipboards build towers on minimum wage ruins. It’s a rallying cry against the idea that hard work alone prevails. “Eat, consume, we really are all doomed” resonates as a punk anthem on a sinking ship—a high-energy track questioning the cost of progress.

Ummm so we didn’t play any shows in 2021 either. Sorry. Things look better for 2022, though. We’re still working on new music, too. See you again, soon? – chris

  • New Vamps Site for 2021?!

Holy shit. We didn’t play a single show in 2020. That’s so weird. We did, however, demo a few songs, and we’re slowly making progress on a future full-length album. We’re also working on re-vamping (get it?) our website for 2021. Cool! Nothing much else going on vamps-wise. We will see you again with new music when it’s safe and responsible to do so. Cool. Later. – chris
